Creating a blend that resonates with the heart and spirit requires more than just mixing ingredients. It involves intention, stories, and a deep spiritual journey. In this post, I'll share the background of my latest Annointed blend, explain the importance of each ingredient, explore the unique spelling of "Annointed," and outline my broader spiritual mission for this product and my company.
The inspiration for this blend began with a desire to invite more peace around me. in a world often filled with chaos, I aimed to create something that elevates calmness and fosters a sense of peace. This blend became deeply personal, reflecting my own journey through periods of 'chaos'—a struggle to accept changes I initially resisted.
Honestly, it wasn't until I started navigating the ups and downs of menopause, desperately searching for those calming touches in my own life, that the true purpose of this blend finally clicked for me. This blend is that breath of fresh air; it doesn't just restore your skin, it truly soothes your senses and has a beautiful way of quieting your spirit.

Creating new products for Up At Dawn Tallow is a sacred process for me; each blend is deeply intentional, prayed through to meet both my current needs and what others need most. With the Annointed blend, I felt an undeniable pull toward lavender. Then, through quiet contemplation and prayer, frankincense emerged as its perfect partner—it simply couldn't be alone. Every ingredient in this blend was thoughtfully selected to pave a path toward peace, even in the midst of chaos.
Why These Specific Ingredients?
I selected every ingredient in the Annointed blend based on its physical and medicinal properties that would compliment each other and offer the best blend for nourishment and relaxation, while offering a healing component.
Lavender: Famously calming, it can help reduce stress and anxiety levels. This makes it a favorite for relaxation and overall well-being. Did you know that in the Bible, there's reference to 'nard' or 'spikenard,' which is widely thought to be what we now refer to as lavender? This precious oil was used biblically for anointing. I hadn't researched this component of lavender's rich history until writing this! With this new information, it certainly evokes even more of a spiritual connection to the name chosen. Additionally, John 12:3 states, "Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume." This gives the blend an even more eternal meaning.
Frankincense: Highly valued for its ability to soothe and rejuvenate skin, helping to reduce the appearance of imperfections and promote a healthy-looking complexion. Beyond topical benefits, its aromatic qualities are traditionally used to calm the mind and foster a sense of peace. Frankincense is also used in the Bible, creating a perfect marriage of the two scents to complement their representations. Biblically, Frankincense was renowned for its purity and significance in devotion. It was also mentioned in Exodus 30:34 as part of the holy incense used, thought for its properties to allow your prayers to rise to heaven!
These ingredients not only create a beautiful scent profile but are also incredibly rich in meaning! What an incredible understanding with such significance! It's no coincidence this blend is created with both these outstanding ingredients!

You may have noticed the distinctive spelling of “Annointed.” The added 'n' is intentional, symbolizing a blend that is annointed with purpose. Even when the rules of English said one 'n', my heart kept leading me to use the second. This unique spelling stands for a double measure of purpose and to set us apart.
For me, this unique spelling isn't just about standing out; it’s a powerful, deeply personal symbol. It encourages us all to dare to be different, to stand bold, and to truly know that our lives, every single one, carry immense significance and purpose. It's a reminder that even the smallest details, like a single letter, can hold so much meaning.
Spiritual Focus for the Products and the Company
From the very inception of this business and the creation of these products, I've been profoundly inspired, and that inspiration continues to guide me. I'm often reminded by the eagles I see everywhere that the person who sparked this entire journey is still with me, still encouraging me to press on and help more people. As it's beautifully written in Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Even when the days are long with preparation, when crucial supplies are delayed, or when I encounter frustrating resistance with technology, I am powerfully reminded to never quit. Up At Dawn Tallow is truly helping people, and even if I only helped one, to me, this journey is worth every single step!
